Updated Traditional Home in Surrey

This lovely family home was in need of a major update. The clients, now empty nesters, wanted their home to reflect their relaxed lifestyle, while keeping it open and airy for large family gatherings.

To begin the project, we removed 2 pillars separating the entrance hall from the living room, creating a large entry to welcome guests. The staircase, in its original state, was a light-stained oak. To create continuity, we painted the spindles and skirt the trim colour and stained the handrail to match the new hardwood floor. The staircase now anchors the entry and introduces you to the design elements found throughout the home.
