Have you seen the movie ‘The Madness of King George’? It is very good and well worth watching. Terry (my other half) and I recently took on a renovation project that almost drove us mad. We call it the ‘Journey of St. George’s.’
At the start of 2021 we purchased a sweet little studio apartment in lower Lonsdale. It needed A LOT OF WORK. It had had no improvements or updates since it was built back in 1973. There was a wall that divided the unit in half, preventing the enjoyment of the stunning views to be had of Burrard Inlet and Mt. Baker. So, we tore everything out down to the studs and opened it all up to create one large room.
Over the course of 4 solid months we worked on this cutie, taking it from its original state to a bright, modern, fully renovated, plenty-of-storage condo, complete with a queen size Murphy bed.
We are very proud of the work we did and now have a very happy renter that calls 145 St. Georges ‘home.’
