My parents recently sold their family home and moved into a one level apartment. The ensuite bathroom came complete with a ‘step-up soaker tub’!! Very difficult to get in and out of.
We tore it all out right down to the studs and created a large walk-in shower. The shower has a single glass panel enclosure (no door) for ease of access. A recessed acrylic shelving unit blends seamlessly with the subway tile and keeps all the shampoo bottles neatly tucked away. The suction grab-bars provide safety in this shower, but are easily removed without causing damage when no longer required.
All in all, an amazing transformation.
