For the Love of Purple!!

Who wouldn’t want to sleep in a tent every night? Especially a purple striped carnival tent!

An angled ceiling can often pose a decorating dilema. The problem is the walls are overpowered by the vastness of the ceiling.

In this little girl’s bedroom, we overcame this problem by using the ceiling as a prop. We painted alternating stripes of pink and purple on the angled ceiling to create the illusion of a carnival tent. Pink satin ribbon runs along the top of the wall, ‘holding up’ the awning.

The effect is fun and playful and the whimsical chandelier adds a bit of ‘French Flair’ to space.
