Design Tip Add Space with Nook Seating

Design Tip: Get Cozy with Nook Seating

Nook seating is a great way to seat many people in a small space. So often we try to squish a traditional table and chairs into a confined area only to find that the chair in the corner, sandwiched between two walls, never gets used.

That back corner really is dead space unless you become creative. Creating a breakfast nook is the perfect solution to this problem. You will utilize every square inch available to you.

Bench seats have double the seating capacity as chairs because there are no chair legs, arms or backs to contend with. If you need an extra place setting, everyone just scoots over!

And, if you are tight on storage, you can make the seats removable or hinged so you can store seldom-used small appliances, seasonal table decor and so on.
