The inspiration behind the design of our project on Emerson was the entry way light fixture. With its matte black and gold orbital shape, it was the influence for the entire project.
We repeated the black and gold theme throughout with all the other light fixtures, door and cabinet hardware. We also kept in mind the curved/rounded shape of the fixture. This is seen in the wall sconces, other light fixtures in the home, curved back and arms of the furniture pieces, and even in the shape of the dining room table.
By keeping the flooring the same throughout the main floor of the house, the rooms flow together seamlessly. We kept the colour palette soft and neutral, adding pops of colour through accessories and artwork. The entire project flows effortlessly from one room to another.
